I honestly wasn't responding to anything you said once I started the third paragraph, although I can see how you might have thought that. Sorry about that, man.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

In fact, having taught a few women how to shoot and in watching others do the same, I realized that overselling the recoil was actually a bigger problem than anything else, and generally resulted in the shotgun patterns you described. Think back, and perhaps you may find that to be the case with the ladies in your life. Maybe not, but honestly think back to what you said and you might find that you freaked them out before the first shot was ever fired.

I always shoot the gun first, and let them draw their own conclusions.

1. Let her shot whatever she likes.
2. My mother in law loved her Colt 1911 issue (accurized), competed with it for several years. She particularly liked how the single stack grip fir in her hand.
3. Read Cornercat.com
4. Let her shoot whatever she likes.
5. Show her corneredcat.com
6. Let her shoot whatever she likes.
7. If she picks one of "yours" and you need to buy a new one..oh, well!
