I just bought a Navy Arms 1858 New model at a swap meet. It is marked Pietta, and I have a couple of those, one from already had one from Navy Arms bought in 2002 and one from EMF in 2001. This one is not like those though. It has a beautiful blue finish, with no machining marks anywhere. Very smooth edges with a dovetailed factory sight and a silver trigger guard. It has a serial number of A0090.
I have not seen a Pietta this slick before. It has not been shot, but you can tell with the cylinder ring it has been played with. The box looks old, but I can't date it.
My current Navy arms Remmie is not near as nice as this..is there anything special about this gun, or did the older ones have so much more attention to detail?
Looking at the new prices as of tody, I think I did OK at $150.00.
Thanks
