It passed the first and second reading...it just now passed the 3rd and final reading with a veto-proof majority. Now off to the Senate.

Passed the third with a veto proof majority. Now it is off to the Senate. NC residents LEAN HARD on your Senators to expect this bill, and to pass it THIS SESSION. Let's get their ears ringing now. A note on individual House reps:

Throughout the House debate, gun owners found stalwart friends in Reps. Mark Hilton (R-Catawba, GRNC ****), Jeff Barnhart (R-Cabarrus, ****), Fred Steen (R-Rowan, ****), Kelly Hastings (R-Cleveland, Gaston, ****), George Cleveland (R-Onslow, ****), Glen Bradley (R-Franklin, Halifax, Nash, ****), Jonathan Jordon (R-Ashe, Watauga, ****), Bert Jones (U-Rockingham, ****), and Leo Daughtry (R-Johnston, ****) and John Blust (R-Guilford, ****). Particular thanks go to Speaker Thom Tillis (R-Mecklenburg, ****), who weathered adverse media to bring the bill to a vote. Please use the links above to offer a short note of thanks to all

I get ya man, but bear in mind GRNC does have guys there on the floor every day to get the meat behind the story too. Nothing wrong with checking your facts on the ncleg site too but I would really look at both.

Gouranga, you are correct.

I had been away from my e-mail for a day or two and had not noticed that on the same day it was "withdrawn", I guess later in the day, it was referred back to Judiciary II. I got the RSS feed e-mail about the withdrawl, but not about the referral again later in the day.

Just glad to see its still in the works. We need more common sense laws.

You guys need to leave the South and move up North to a free state, like Oregon or Idaho.. Carry in restaurants?? IN Oregon I can carry in a bar while I am drinking down a beer.. I always wonder why they say the South is so free when people are denied some of the most basic rights we have up North.
