Looking for a 10mm 180 gr lead load using the following powders. Unique, W231, or Titegroup. I only have about 500 rounds to load. Found a load using Power Pistol but I don't want to have 1/2 pound left over. TNX

The following data is for #231, which I've wound up standardizing on for all of my handgun reloading, from 9-mm Mak to .45 Colt. Different manuals list somwhat different comparative velocity and pressure data...this is due to use of different makes of bullets, cases, primers, and test guns...a good reason to go well below max loads, as what you will load will very likely give different test data!:what:

The Winchester Components Catalog lists for 10-mm:
170-gr Lead a starting charge wt of 4.7-gr @ 880-fps and 20,600 psi to a max of 6.3gr @1120fps and 35,600 psi.
170-gr JHP a starting charge of 4.8-gr, 980 fps, and 26,400 psi, to a max of 5.6-gr, 1100 fps, and 35,600 psi.
180-gr JHP a starting charge of 5.2-gr, 950 fps @ 29,600 pssi, to a max of 58-gr, 1050 fps, and 35,600 psi.
200-gr Lead, starting at 4.2-gr, 870 fps at 24,200 psi, to a max of 5.5gr at 1030 fps and 35,600 psi.
200-gr FMJ starting at 4.6-gr at 840 fps and 24,600 fps, to a max of 5.6-gr at 1000 fps and 35,600 psi.

No specific range of loads for 180-gr Lead, but you should be able to interpolate. Suggest you stick to moderate loads.

Lyman's 48th Manual lists loads for two different 175-gr lead bullets...suggest you check actual weight of your bullets by scale, and compare your bullet designs against the Lyman bullets.

The Lyman range is from a low of 5.5-gr at 1023 fps and 20,300 psi to a max of 6.7-gr at 1189 psi and 28,800 psi for #401043, and a range of 5.9-gr at 1115 and 24,000 to 6.5 gr at 1181 and 29,400 fps for #401638.

Hodgdon Manual #26 provides a range of loads for 180-gr, but doesn't state whether it is for Lead or Jacketed.
