Just fired my new Kali-legal AR for the first time today. This was both my first time firing the .223, as well as my first time firing the AR-I built it this morning. I have NO experience with the AR, so bear with me please.
The rifle is an A3 setup. I put a del-ton 20inch hbar upper on a Lauer bottom...with a RRA 2 stage trigger. I fired 9 rounds off to test for function today. I am using 10 round detachable mags.
I have a few questions...
1. The trigger does not reset, I have to actually move it forward manually. I only feel one stage, not two.
2. I have an extra spring from the parts kit! I'd describe it as a "flared" spring, it is short and fat, and one end is a bigger diameter than the other. I dont think it belongs with the RRA 2-stage trigger, it may just go on a stock trigger. I dont see where it goes but think this may have something to do with my trigger not resetting.
3. The ambi-saftey is functional but does not "click" into the safe position. It does click into the fire position. Is this normal?

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Yes thats actually exactly what I used as a guide, but it still does not explain that spring, and if you notice there is nothing in that guide about the saftey.

Does the spring look like either of these?

My safety (not ambi) clicks into the safe and the fire positions. Did you install the selector detent and selector detent spring right before you installed the pistol grip?

yes the detents are in per the diagrams I have seen. The spring I am describing is a coil spring, that has a slightly larger diameter at one end than the other.
I have that exact trigger.

Is it possible to install the ambi selector backward?

Did you lose a spring in the area I circled below?

I will double check that, but I doubt the disconnector spring is missing.
In Kali you can have a detachable mag IF there is no pistol grip or flash hider. The stock also cannot be telescoping. I am using the "tumor" grip, by a guy named monsterman.

I did initially put in the saftey backwards, but caught my error and flipped it around so I dont think thats it.

I am figuring the spring is the disconnector spring, but the match trigger comes with its own already in the trigger assembly. I pulled the trigger this am, but could not get it right. Its a little frustrating.
