I have good supply of ammo that has been in storage for around 15 years.(in ammo cans) It is in individual packages of 30 rounds each and those packages are in plastic 300 round battle packs.
The ammo was made by IMI company which I believe is in Israel.
I just want to determine if this is 55 grain ammo or something else ---and I can't find my damn bullet puller. On a couple www sites I have found references to the IMI 77 grain bullets so I'm a little leery of it.
The box markings are
30 Rd 5.56 X 45mm BALL M1A2... and a series of numbers stamped on the label which I think is a lot number 614 A 83.
The cases are brass and the head stamp is an 83 with a 12 under it.
Any opinions on the quality of this ammo would also be appreciated.
