Need Help w/ AR15 Sights

Hey, I'm getting my first AR15 which is an optics ready type. Do you guys think it'd be better to get cheap UTG flip up sights or a <$100 red dot/holo sight? I'm concerned about sighting in the flip up sights, I've never used those before, is there a certain place you need to install the rear sight?

If you are short on cash, I would recommend buying a decent (not junk) set of sights. You can usually find bolt-on carry handles for pretty cheap.

Yeah, learn those irons. It's not horrible. Get the basics down and hit up a quality red-dot later.

Are the UTG/Leapers flip-up sights very bad? It seems like it's either those or $200 flip-ups. Is there any quality set for around $100?

Leapers stuff is better placed on airsoft. Let's leave it at that.

You can get a detachable carry handle (includes A2 rear sight) for like $80 or less.

Do you already have a front sight post? If not, what is on the front of the rifle?

No front sight, just a 4 rail gas block, how bout midwest industries sights?
