I know about HKS type speedloaders and speed strips, what I'm looking for is a variant type of a speedloader I saw in a magazine that I can't find now.
The device is basically a flat disc with six little spring clips that each hold one cartridge by the base. There is also a finger ring to hold the device. To load, you put the rounds in the cylinder and then pull the whole device away by the ring. The chambers hold the rounds in place and the force generated by pulling the device away strips the cartridges off of the little half-circle springs and allows them to drop fully into the chambers.
Does anyone have a link the manufacturer/distributer of this product?
Interestingly enough, I do have a 1940's example of essentially the same device. The old one is made of metal and I believe the new ones are made of plastic. The one I have works well with my Enfield revolver, which is why I'm curious to try the new ones on my S&W.
Thanks
Rob
