Need some AR15 barrel measurements

I want to have a premium barrelmaker spin up a custom AR barrel for me, in the mid-length configuration. Does anybody know or can anyone point me to where I can find exact measurements for where the gas port is in relation to the forward face of the receiver extension? Thanks.

Not to be a smart alec, but if whoever is working on your barrel doesn't know this, they shouldn't be working on your barrel.

Closest I know of online is at www.ar15barrels.com - under the Gas System options.

nvshooter, I bought my Wilson barrel undrilled. Then I assembled it on the receiver with hand guards and gas block so I could mark the exact location. Perhaps you can discuss that option with your barrel maker.

By the way, it's not only the gas port, it's also the location of the step in barrel diameter that the gas block butts up against. There is more to it than just the hole. That's why it may be useful to offer the whole upper ass'y to the barrel maker to establish the exact location for turning the step and drilling the hole.

The shoulder at the rear of the gas block seat is 8.75" from the front face of the barrel extension.
9.045" to the center of the gas port.
