I need the expertise that all of you muzzleloaders are sure to have-
I just got a Knight Disc Extreme and a 3-9 variable Bushnell for my birthday. This is my first muzzleloader.
I've been shooting it with 100 grains of Pyrodex (pellets) behind a .50cal 240GR TC XTP sabot. We got it 2 inches high at 100 yards with 5 shots. When we moved out to 150 yards it dropped about 8 inches. This is where we stopped.
My questions are - What will moving up to 150 grains of Pyrodex do? Should I expect a drastic improvement with respect to bullet drop? Can anyone point me to a ballistics table that will give me an idea of what to expect ?
Thanks ahead of time !
