I just purchased my first Glock, a G21 specifically. When I lock the slide back, I notice that the barrel tilts upwards slightly. Is this normal? My 1911 doesn't do this. Thanks.

If I remember correctly the Glock I used to have did the same thing. Its weird but so are Glocks in general. Great guns still.

no its not normal you need to take it to your local gunsmith and have him pinn it in place :) just kidding it usses the browning / petter system to unlock/lock the breech in place its normal

Yes it's normal, and also you're wrong, your 1911 DOES/did do it, you just didn't notice it since the angle was less. :)
The Glock uses the "Browning tilting-barrel lockup" which Browning basically invented in the course of evolution of the 1911 pistol, starting with the Browning 1905 model.

Enjoy your new GLOCK.

Otherwise, send it here, and I'LL enjoy it!

(Send ammo.... :neener: )

My GLOCKs do the same thing, as do my 1911s, and my XD.

No problem.

(YIPPEE!!) A question I know the answer to!.

I'm late, as usual, but I'm not passing up the opportunity! :)
