I'm going to have to call BS on that. The local gun stores I go to complain constantly about the influx of clueless, dangerous new gun owers. On the gun forums guys are complaining about the flood of dealing with people on arms list and gunbroker who have no clue about how to "buy a mail order gun" and just assume you buy it and the dealer sends it to your house, no questions asked, because that's how CNN says it works.I was just reading that the jump in gun sales is caused by existing gun owners buying more guns. Not new gun owners. I'm retired now and don't get out much anymore so I don't know. But, I do know of at least two new gun owners in my family in the past couple months. What you think?
I'm a long time gun owner, the only "firearms" I have bought in the last year was silencers because there have been a lot of good deals and a single shot altor 9mm pistol... just because it's weird and really cheap.
