I started a thread a while back about getting a new .22 bolt gun and this is what i wound up with, a NIB marlin 925.
The rifle was only 185 which is good for lgs pricing, I also got another magazine for 14$ a brick of 500 Blazer for 18$ and then a browning case for 30$ with fees and tax the whole kit and kaboodle was 273$ I am pretty happy with it, One question is how do you take the stock of? I tried and removed the big screw forward of the mag well and it was stuck, is there something else? I didnt want to force it and bust my new gun. I have her all cleaned up (the brown stuff wasnt to bad on my Marlin, not sure what people complain about, it took 10 minutes to clean) Also is there a way to take the magazines apart? They were all brown too.... Soo here she is, already for the range. :)

Use a chopstick and a mallet to separate the action from the stock so as not to mar the metal finish. Use light taps . Make sure all the screws are out .

Is it just the one screw? or do i need to remove the trigger guard and the mag well cover?
