I have to say that this latest offering from CZ doesn't exactly do anything for me. Styling looks to be a grab bag of CZ, SIG, Glock, and H&K. And not all their best features either. One thing that would have to go would be that oversized trigger guard. Just looks too big and out of place with the rest of the guns design. Sorry, but not something I would be interested in.
 
I'm sure it's a reliable gun, but only a mother could love that trigger guard.

My guess is it is designed to better accomidate a light and/or laser on the rail. It's not really that much more ugly that the other polymer pistols out there. I think it has that Sci-fi look to it. :D
 
This is definitely a gun that can only be successfully marketed to people who don't think Steyrs are ugly.
 
I'm a major CZ fan, but this pistol does nothing for me.

Interesting, I am actually not a major CZ fan, dont dislike them but just never fell in love. Well this one does it for me. I like it. As to that trigger guard I think its meant so you can shoot with gloves, like the M&P guard is suppose to be.

Does anybody else think it looks like a HK USP mixed with a Springfield XD that is to say the P-07 Duty is the XDUSP
 
I don't know, I was on the fence until I saw that image of SWAT team members they included in their advertisement. Now I'm convinced it's got to be good! :rolleyes:
 
Whats the pricing on these gonna be? Id like a realistic price not just the msrp...
 
distra, my P-06 accommodates a light just fine.
I think it's just looks.

Another major CZ fan here & I am just not digging it right now. My first thought was that it did look like a cross between a S&W & HK, with all the extra stuff from an XD. We will get a better idea about it when some members decide to get one & we see a couple range reports . Any idea of cost or availability?
 
Its growing on me.

it doesn't matter if the pistol is ugly or not. form must follow function in a duty gun. you could shape one like barbara streisand but if it works 100% and has automatically homing bullets i'd buy it in a heartbeat!! :D
 
I've been waiting

I've been waiting a LONG time for a P01 with a MANUAL safety. This gun MIGHT have me interested. WHile I don't like the TG, it might be OK. WIll the old Compact mags fit? Also, if it can be easily detail stripped, that would be nice.

Again - A PCR or a P01 with a manual safety IS the gun to beat! If CZ put one out, with a better OTB trigger (maybe like a SIG), SIG/etc. would never catch up. BUt, CZ-UB cares nothing for the American civilian market.
 
all P-01 pistols are deckocker only.

there is no alloy manual safety compact CZ.

the only compact CZ with a manual safety are the steel ones.
 
Not my taste, when I think of CZ, I think of an indestructible brick of a gun, basically the ak of handguns, so no polymer on my CZ, thanks.
