I hear ya on that one Guy B. I liked my 625 just a bit less after trying my friend's 1917 on a bank of targets. It was easy to control the 1917 as I swung it from target to target. It was like jumping in a car after driving a boat!
If they made it in a beautiful blue finish like they used to make 'em, I'd be all over it. Sure, the stainless is more utilitarian and easy to care for, but I like guns with a little bit of finesse - even a working gun.
