My memory of cleaning mine is that it sucked lol. Might wanna hit it with foaming bore cleaner to keep the patching to a minimum.

That sounds like a 93r17btvs...I'm assuming it's stainless?
I had one for a few years, it was never as accurate as they we're suppose to be. That was likely just the particular rifle I had tho, all other reports have been extremely positive.
Everything else about the rifle was great.
Well technically I believe the .17hmr is actually .172 (tho I could be wrong I'm pulling that out of a dusty corner)....so your still diversifying! It just struck me!!! I started my shooting endeavors with a .177 Daisy BB gun and now, after some 68 years of shooting, am reverting to the .177 again...this time in a .177 HMR, but still that darned .177! What's wrong with me??? I'm going backwards instead of forward! Maybe I need help!!!

.17 is close enough for me. I suppose I could clean the bore with a very long pipe cleaner, but have to invest a rod, I suppose.Well technically I believe the .17hmr is actually .172 (tho I could be wrong I'm pulling that out of a dusty corner)....so your still diversifying!
