I'm looking for a low-priced but decent scope. The Prostaff can be had for $115.00 on ebay. One problem is that on the Nikon website it is NOT described as being Shockproof, whereas the more expensive Buckmasters is. I wonder what that means for the "Lifetime full warranty". It will be going on a .308 bolt, so there will be some significant recoil.

Anybody have one of these?

Thanks!

I have one on of the 2-7x32 Shotgun Hunters on my Marlin 336 .35Rem. It's performed well. I know the recoil it's subjected to there isn't quite up to .308 levels, though. This year I took it off my 336 and put it on my .50cal muzzleloader where it again is doing well. Again, not so much recoil there. If I were you, I'd call Nikon on the phone and ask them about the "shockproof" concerns and thier warranty. I'm sure they'd be happy to talk to you. And if they're not happy to answer your questions or don't have the answers, well then you know not to buy thier stuff. :)
