I just couldn't stay away. I had to get another 1911 after selling off my Kimber Stainless Compact II. I had several problems with feeding and ejection with that gun and vowed never own a 1911 again. I guess it was the fact that I spent over 700.00 for that gun that really pissed me off. I won't feel too bad if this gun has any problems. It only cost me 389.00 OTD NIB off of www.auctionarms.com (379.00 shipped with 10.00 for FFL fees). It feels good in my hand. I like the feel of the arched MSH better than the flat one on my Kimber. The balance is perfect. I'm not one to perfer the 5in 1911's even though it can be hit or miss with reliability with the shorter models. Before getting it, I was planning on changing this and that but decided that it was pretty much perfect right out of the box except the sights. Those will get changed out. The trigger will definatley need to be broken in. It feels horrible. It must be eight pounds and feels as gritty as sand paper. I guess I was spoiled on my Kimber's trigger. I feel that that will get better with boosting, dry fireing and good old range use. I bought this as a possible carry peice but right now my 642 and G26 have been serving that role for quite some time. I'll shoot it for a while to see how it performs and make a decision in a couple of months if I want to buy a holster for it and certify it's reliability with defense ammunition. Here are some pics of the gun. It was a hell of a deal for 389.00.
