My local fun shop has a 12 gauge Rossi Overland used for 300, I think I can talk him down because of what appears to me minor pitting in the barrel. I've been wanting a 12 gauge and a coach gun for a while, so I could kill two birds with one stone.

Thoughts?

That's almost new cost isn't it? I'd see about knocking $50 -75 off, especially if the barrels are pitted. I've also wanted one of those, seems as though another stole my heart before I picked her up tho! LOL :banghead: If talked down, I'd snag it. Good luck!

Happens a lot in his store, got me once because I didn't research, but luckily it was just a .22.

Not this time, been researching prices, got some shooter's bibles for the first time at my workplace (Walmart sporting goods, yay). Looked at the prices in them.

I will say, the pitting is minor, if that is what it is.

Would only having enough money to put it on layaway weaken my bargaining position?
