Wondering how long you have to live in Indiana before you can apply for the
life time handgun carry permit? Will be moving there next summer from Mo.
where I have a CCW. Thanks

AFAIK.All you need to do is switch your drivers license to an Indiana address.I know from experience a lifetime permit is no harder to obtain than a standard permit just costs a little more money.Indiana does issue out of state permits,apply now and just change your address with the state police when you get here.Come join the freedom of Indiana.See ya soon.

Indiana does issue out of state permits
(3)

That is not entirely correct, you must be employed or own a business in Indiana.

IC 35-47-2-3
Application for license to carry handgun; procedure

(1) to the chief of police or corresponding law enforcement officer of the municipality in which the applicant resides;
(2) if that municipality has no such officer, or if the applicant does not reside in a municipality, to the sheriff of the county in which the applicant resides after the applicant has obtained an application form prescribed by the superintendent; or
(3) if the applicant is a resident of another state and has a regular place of business or employment in Indiana, to the sheriff of the county in which the applicant has a regular place of business or employment.

To answer your original question, I think it's six months. In the mean time Indiana will honor your MO permit.
