Thanks for all the replies.
I was looking for a place in the hills where we could plink with .22s. I was afraid that most any places like that would be off limits for dreaded evil firearms. Oh well.
Tierhog, do you know of anywhere near PA like this that's not National Park? I remember hearing talk the last time we were there about putting in some place for people to shoot, but I think a lot of anti's in the area shut it down IIRC.
I actually did stop in Hi-caliber Guns once last year and would agree with your assesment. I stopped in to Hank's once too, looked like a pretty good place.
Lear 31A, thanks for the link. Some day when I have more time I would like to try sporting clays. It looks like a lot of fun, though I'm a lousy shot with a shotgun.
The in-laws live out of town and we did some target shooting in a little gulley behind the house last year, got the cops called on us! The officer said he had to respond but we weren't doing anything wrong, just be safe, have a good backstop, and have fun. Nonetheless, I don't want to irritate the neighbors.
Back when I was growing up in the country, you knew your neighbors and if they did something that bothered you, you went and talked to them. You didn't call the cops. My wife says it used to be that way there too, until all the city people started moving into the area.
