Have any of you tried to fix a wobbly folding stock on your Polish Tantal AK? I thought I could even replace it with a matching Romanian wood stock, but when I got it home I realized the stock is part of the receiver (riveted) and I don't see any easy fix for the wobble apart from welding it permanently open. Any other suggestions out there?

Just handled one today, and I can definitely say that wobble wasn't a problem with it...damn thing locked up TIGHT. Took almost two hands to unlock it to fold or unfold. Could something be broken (spring maybe)?

It's not riveted at all.

Unscrew the two screws and punch out the two roll pins (not seen here) and it'll come right out.

Any stamped receiver kalashnikov buttstock will fit in its place.

Have you removed yours? Mine looks a little different and I can't find the roll pins you refer to...

If it's a Century build, there's no telling what they've used.

Do you see the two holes at the front of the block (on the right in this picture)? That is where the roll pins should be. If you don't have the holes, Century probably used whatever they had laying around for a rear block and you'll only need to remove the two screws.

That looks more like mine (CAI). I will give it another try. Thanks.
