don't like. aluminum is better looking. rather have a steel frame and an ambi safety.

i see no advantage of the polymer....it's what 1 ounce lighter than the aluminum? still kinda expensive, and hardly a value, imho.

not to mention really ugly......colt fail, imho.

I like it.

What the hell is a point of a heavier CCW pistol?

What good are ambi features for a CCW pistol?

I think it'll do well.

I concur. I despise ambi guns; first thing I did when I bought my 1911 was buy and get installed a standard thumb safety to replace the ambi that came with it. If you're left-handed I can obviously see the desire for ambi controls, but if you're right handed why would you ever want additional knobs/controls on your gun?

This gun doesn't look half bad. Looks like a 1911, a P238, and a Kahr P380 all got together and decided to have a baby.

I'll see your rounded trigger guard, but raise you a rail!

Looks to big to be pocketable anyway, might as well outfit a light/laser.

I have a series 80 and love it. But that is what I said about my P238 after I bought it, and now it is giving me issues... So, I don't know. I'm thinking of picking one up when they are available, running a 1000 rounds through it, and if it holds up solidly, then retiring my P238.

I bought the Series 80 (electroless nickel finish) from a dealer at a gun show, so I have no idea on the round count. The trigger is really sweet, and it hasn't given me a single issue in about 200-300 rounds. I'm going to start carrying it over my P238.

A light rail... on a pocket pistol... Totally makes sense. :scrutiny:

Polymer? That's cool, I guess. It'd be of more worth if it actually decreased the weight by a significant amount. 1 oz. is not worth it, in my opinion.

And yes, that trigger guard is horrendous. Actually, the new Kimber micro series looks waaaay better overall.

And I'll still be waiting for a 9mm version. If Sig can do it, Colt can too.

I kinda Like it......

I really Love the Original Mustang ......:cool::cool:

I Agree ... The Rail is pointless and needs to go away..... :barf:

Only Lost a 1.7 ounces and Still $650.00 ..... :scrutiny:

Note to Colt: Trim the Rail, Trim the Price and please do something better with trigger guard.

I don't mind the rail so much. Rounded trigger guard would make it look better. Better looking trigger would also be better. That trigger looks like it is just floating there like an after market part. The grip striping looks awkward. Removable grip panels would be better. And at only 1 oz lighter...whats the point?

Just cause something like a TLR-2 is probably bigger than the pistol itself is no reason to discount it. :D

I seriously have no interest in most modern guns because of the rails. :cuss:

Lets pretend you need to use your weapon.

Let's pretend the reason you need to use your weapon is you're being attacked by someone who has broken your right hand.

I do... Its called "weak side practice." Or training, if you prefer.

Its nowhere near second nature, but I can draw, fire, and reload, and reholster my 1911 with my left hand.

The rail and the trigger guard design look like they're intended to attach a laser, much like the Crimson Trace that fits on a G26 or the laser for an LCP.

I have always liked the look of Star S models no matter how they are branded. I even liked the FI Pony despite its "issues".

The rail and trigger guard do make this one look ugly as sin though.

They should offer it with or without offending nubs. I suppose one could just cut and sand away the uglies, but I get a pain in my wallet even thinking that and not sure whay that work on the dust cover would do to durability of the same.

I have a Mustang and definitely prefer it to this new version. I don't need the polymer frame or light rail and I don't really care for the larger squared off trigger guard.

I'm not spending money on another too expensive .380acp pistol. But I will ditto what others have already said. The polymer doesn't lighten it enough, the trigger guard needs to be rounded, the "tac rail" needs to go, and the price needs to drop. . . . . . . . . and they need to make a slightly bigger one in 9mm.

Instead of making this polymer atrocity Colt should've brought back the .380 Government. I mean, if we're talking about shifting production capacity and resources into new models instead of upping production of existing guns they can't keep up with demand for....

I'm a rabid Colt fanboy to the bone but this polymer Mustang just strikes me as  :barf:

But for the record, regular Mustang Pocketlite = WIN.
