I have a Polytech AKS with this hideous choate stock on it that I would like to replace with a collapsible stock and pistol grip from Tapco. Anyone know if this is legal or illegal?

I could very well be mistaken, but I thought all Polytech AKSs were imported before the '89 ban. Perhaps you could contact the importer and they could tell you when your paticular rifle was brought into the country. Does it have a bayonet lug, or is ground away?
