To get an idea of the scale, the High Power range is 600 yds.
 
Here's mine. I don't get to shoot here anymore because I moved though. :(

Oh, and that's the Palouse Practical Shooters' club range.

Take a good look at it because it's only going to be there for about 16 more months. PC-yuppie-anti-mofos have got it closed down:

Major Waldron's Sportsman's Association, in Barrington, NH. 50/100/200/300 yd. range on the right, indoor pistol range in the clubhouse (dark building left of parking lot), skeet, trap and sporting clays setups on the left.
The club owns some land across the road too, where people can hunt during hunting season.

The neat thing is that the club owns enough land to stretch the rifle range out to 1000 yards, just needs resources and a reason to do so. So there's a good bit of room for expansion.

This is the NYPD range, where my agency qualifies. last one on your left is Frank Range, the one we usually use. This pic has to be at least about a year old as the whole shooter area of F Range is concrete covered now. By the way, the whole complex - below the trees all the way to the point - is the NYPD Range complex. If the Olympics come to NYC, I hear we can kiss this goodbye.

Here's the range I frequent via Terraserver. It's a National Forest range and it hadn't been built at the time the image was taken, so you have to use some imagination. :p ;)

Click the link below, and once it opens, trace a line from the North & South buttons at the edge of the image. At the point where that line would intersect with a line from the West button to the East button is roughly where the range is. And yes, it's nearly in the middle of nowhere. :eek: :D

My range

And, it is my range, invitation only. Tresspassers will be targets. :what:

The northeast smaller building is my shop and the range runs northeast from there along the driveway. Its about 110 meters to the trees. (1st image: range short.jpg)

Range long.jpg shows more of the driveway and I can get about 200 meters shooting between the trees closer to the driveway. I'll do some clearing one of these days and make a nice 200 meter range there one of these days.

Anyway, it's been one of my long time dreams to be able to shoot out the window or just step outside and shoot... :)
