That reminds me, there is a range within driving distance of me that has a full auto MP5 for rent. I need to go shoot that.

What the heck is a 9mm shoulder breaker? Maybe I've missed a memo somewhere, but every PCC I've seen had way less recoil than a lightweight 223 AR. Have people really become that sensitive?

I’m not recoil sensitive, I can shoot 12 gauge slugs all day, but when I first built my 9mm AR15 I did not have a stiff enough recoil spring and the pistol brace would turn my shoulder purple believe it or not. The recoil of the cartridge is next to nothing, but the 1-1/2lb weight of the bolt and buffer hitting the back of the buffer tube at 90 mph was really unpleasant. Once I got the recoil spring sorted out and got the bolt speed manageable that went away, but a blowback 9mm is still pretty jumpy on target.

Wow, that JAKL looks really cool. I was just about to build a new 300 blk 8” upper to use as a camping gun but maybe I’ll wait for that.

It is very interesting, side folding rifles are really neat, but the good ones are usually pretty costly. These JAKLs, at $800 - $900 for the whole rifle or $400 - $450 for an upper are quite a bit cheaper than anything comparable that I've seen. It is kind of a bummer that the barrels are permanently mounted to the upper and basically can't be changed out.

I like alot of what they showed off, but the only one I have any real interest in at the moment would be the MP5 clone. I don't have anywhere near the money for one, mind you, but if I came into a small windfall...

yeah it would have been really cool if they made it take standard AR barrels but you can’t have everything I guess.

I sometimes wonder if the armelite team knew they were creating the most consumer friendly and customizable rifle ever. I wonder if they had any idea what the consumer market would do with it.
