I've got an opportunity to buy a Greek receiver SAR-8 with regular (albeit green) furniture (i.e. no thumbhole) and a Norinco AK underfolder, marked as an AK-47S and imported by Lanbau Inc. (?). My question is whether I should have any concerns regarding 922(r). I believe the SAR-8 was available without the thumbhole from Springfield so I'm not concerned about that one so much. But the AK has me a bit confused. It has no bayonet lug, yet the underfolder stock is the same finish as the rest of the rifle, leading me to believe that it is factory original.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
