QuickLOAD v3.6 Upgrade

Let me try to rephrase this.
I agree that the program can do a lot.
I have no problem with the interface.
150 bucks IS steep, but considering it does a FEW things no other programs do, it's not really too bad.
I just doubt whether the company as a whole, or Ed Dillon as a person, is truly "upfront and honest".
I just heard about QuickLoad a while back and was VERY interested in it, that is until this thread and a few others at different sites dedicated to shoddy treatment by the company.
I read the difference in "upgrade" and "update" and completely understood they were "B.S". Maybe you need to read post #15 again.

Sorry, ...but I have found QuikLoad to be a unique asset in searching for/evaluating innumerable internal ballistics issues in reloading. It keeps me safe, and gives me answers in that gray what-if area that nothing else can.

I have also never had a problem dealing with either the company or the people involved. They have been upfront, honest, and straighforward. It's been a pleasure.

I've been using Quickload for the last three years and I don't have any problems with it or with NECO. Ed has always treated me professionally.

Updates / upgrades are not mandatory. If you want the new data, you pay for it. If not, you can continue to use your program just as it was purchased originally.

That's true BUT, if a company releases V3.6 as an update to older versions and then 2 weeks later they add powders to the database for V3.6 they should give the customers who bought V3.6 the additional information. I'm not talking about supplying the data to users who bought the program V3.x a year ago but all V3.6 programs sold by a company should contain the current database for V3.6, that's all.

It's easy to add the TrailBoss data to your powder file.

Open your qloadfw.pro file with NOTEPAD and add this line:

"TrailBoss","3090","1.2310","1.490","3.4631","2.8340","0.405","1.8999","0.310","","","","","","","","","","","","22AUG10"

....and there it is. If you need a file, just ask someone who has it to share the info. Very easy to update in QuickLoad.

It does work in Linux, using wine.

I'm running v3.3 (on a Windows machine, but I tested it on Ubuntu) and haven't seen any reason to upgrade.

+100

I have a new load for my 9mm (it's subsonic):

147XTP + 1.9grs of trail Boss = 500 FPS

;)
