Redfield Scopes, which one

Ok guys, I bought a 30-06 with a new 3-9x40 WA Model 800633 Redfield scope. My wife's uncle gave me an older 3x-9x Widefield Illuminator Redfield scope, in the box hardly used. What is a person to do?? Is it best to keep the new scope on or change scopes. Which one is better

The Illuminator was Redfield's top-of-the-line scope.
