Remington 660 Trigger

I traded for a used Rem 660 6mm a couple of month ago, and the trigger is a bit heavy. Sniper country has a procedure on how to lighten the Rem 700 model trigger, and I am wondering if the 700 procedure will work on a 660? Thanks!!!

Remington ran half page Recall Ads in the 1970's for the model 600 and 660. The way it worked, you brought your carbine to a Remington authorized dealer and it was sent to a regional repair shop for the factory approved fix. No cost to the consumer.

The recall fixed a flaw with the safety but the trigger was also involved.

I advise you to contact Remington with your serial number to find out if the fix was completed. Then proceed with your trigger job.

When in doubt, always do the right thing.
