first time poster looking for voice of experience. i bought a savage 210f last year and as a complete newb - since it was new I didn't check it over.
The receiver was badly pitted and was not manufactured to spec, so the bolt would turn inside the receiver as a shell was being loaded.
I called savage and they had me send it in - re-manufactured it to probably better than new condition. Now, after bringing the gun out of spring/summer retirement I've noticed this - I don't recall seeing this before. I have photographs from last year but they aren't comparable since they were shot with two different lenses, this having significantly more depth of field than the former.

What do you think - is the pitting normal? I imagined it would be polished smooth.
At the range, accuracy doesn't suffer - shoots 3" groups even with a terrible flinch.
(can't seem to post photo's... I'll work on it)
