Based on THR recommendations I'd ordered a RRA Varmint upper that showed up Christmas eve. It got even better when my dear wife decided to buy it for me as a Christmas present :). It reports for work tomorrow.

Have to say the build quality and general feel exceed my expectations, I'm sure it's accuracy will do the same.

Wow! Nice wife. My wife gave me a bag of coal. I don't deny that it's all I deserved, but sheesh! Come on...coal?! Well, you're a lucky dog. Enjoy, and post target photos. Who knows, maybe it will inspire me to behave better this coming year, and see if Santa will bring me one.

Looks nice; especially like the the design of the hand guards as well. Awaiting full range report.

Mine loves the 69 grain stuff. I can drop 20 rounds through a hole the size of quarter. I'm taking mine out this morning to sight in a different scope.
It looks like they changed the float tube to a lighter type. My upper weighs a ton.

Looks good!

What are the specs/model number? I've been thinking about one myself and I didn't know you could get the varmint uppers threaded, that hand guard looks good as well.

I did get it to the range today, did the break in procedure and managed several 1 MOA groups at 100 yards with 55 grain gun show reloads. I'm really jazzed, this is a very nice shooting rifle.
