Im looking for an RSC and want to do it for on the cheap (as it is an RSC afterall)

I found a SentrySafe 14 gun at home depot for $400. It doesn't however say if its UL rated. Are sentry safes rated?

What would be similar, but rated, RSC?

Thanks, an Amsec is in the future but I need something now

One of the best buys in an RSC that's been available in the recent past are the Winchester's sold at Sam's Club. One big plus in my mind is that they are made by Granite in Texas, they're not Chinese. They seem to offer a good price to product ratio for an RSC.

Now then, if you want to get an AMSEC in the future, you need to be very careful about what you buy. I sell AMSEC's, and can tell you that very few of the products in their home gun safe line are true safes. The Arsenal series are, but pricey. I sell a competing brand of true safe at a ratio of about 100:1 to the AMSEC because of the very evident cost/protection differences between the two.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping either you or a1a would lend your professional expertise.

Needless to say the "big" safe is in the future, and if another brand looks more attractive, they will be chosen.

Any idea if the chinese made Sentry is UL rated? Im actually not only asking for myself, but on a friend's behalf as well. I believe the "safe" is Sentry #E5251.

Thanks, Jesse

Which other brand please?
