An acquaintance is looking to sell his Ruger Redhawk 44 Magnum, model # KRH-444.
It's stainless with a 4.2" barrel & has an ugly Black Hogue Monogrip.
It locks up pretty tight (there is just a hint of end shake).
He says he's only fired about 250 rds through it
And I know the guy & believe him to be a straight shooter.

He's including a set of Redding reloading dies, 100 rds of factory ammo & a bag of about 200 brass cases.
(I do reload, so those dies & cases are of value to me)

He's asking $575 for the whole kit.

Am I crazy for not running to the bank?

Not crazy, but certainly a good deal IMO. Great gun, and it comes with some useful goodies.

The more I think about it, the more I like it.
Of course that means a lot of Ramen noodles for me.
(no wife or kids, just 2 dogs & a cat)

Maybe an early Christmas present for me.

It's a great gun and all the goodies make it a full package for you, I can't speak for anyone else but I'd buy it before someone else does. As far as endshake goes, it's rare to shoot a Ruger loose with so few rounds.

Get a nice set of wood grips and a holster and shoot the willy out of it! Shooting .44 specials out of that gun is as good as it gets. Enjoy I know I would :)

Not bad at all because those new 4" Redhawks are not cheap, when new. A little different from the thousands of 7½" models which have been produced for decades and can be had for $400 or less.

It's a decent deal, offer him $525.00-$550.00 and see if he bites. Load up some mild lead loads with Unique and hit the range.
