S & B New Ammo

I just saw some new production S & B pistol ammo from the Checz Republic and I see they no longer seal their primers. I checked several calibers and none were sealed. I remember when most handgun ammo was sealed and those who were extra proud of their ammo would really smear it on.

"Forget the damn primer sealer!"

I recently bought 2 boxes of S&B 115 grain 9mm FMJ. There is no primer sealant that I can see.

Interesting. The S&B was some high quality stuff, even in Europe. (Some stigma on their reloading supplies, though--never understood that.)
Wonder if they are making production runs for the US market.
(There's virtually no shortages in Europe; the prices are about the same, neither up nor down, ut the avilability is the same.)

S&B stopped sealing primers before the poop storm of 2020.

If you need the ammo and the price is reasonable buy it. I have used both 45 and 9mm that did not have sealant and they are fine.
