S&W 1911PD, anyone examined internals?

I just layed away a S&W 1911PD "Commander" size, and wondered if Tuner or anyone else had interesting info as to internals, QC...etc?

I am not a fan of aluminum 1911s. But, I have repeatedly asked for opinions of them at the S&W forum. And, everyone likes them. Apparently with the scandium, they don't suffer from feedramp wear at all. And, the gun at least comes w/ mags w/ polymer followers, so U won't get that dreaded "gouge" in the frame either.

Most of the Commander sized S&W 1911 came with Act Mags which do not have the polymer followers, they have rounded metal followers. I haven't seen any apparent wear on the feed ramp of my 1911Sc. There are some MIM parts in the gun, but I've only replaced the slide stop. Otherwise mime seems pretty tight. Most people who have the Gunsite model do nothing but rave about them.
