Can anyone point me to some reviews of this? I found a thread in the S&W forum, but was looking for a website review. Also any good examples of the matte bead blasted finish polished to a SS mirror like shine? On any gun? It sure looks like a sweet revolver. Put my hands on one this weekend in the store. wanted to take home, but did not... sigh.

I saw one in a store recently too. Seemed very fine. Felt like a brand new K frame should. The finish is just a matte polish on the same stainless steel they use on all the other models. It's the same color, just slightly less shiny.

It seemed just as well built as my recent manufactured 686P and just about every other S&W I've checked out recently. As soon as they announce a 2-3" barreled version (or a 2-3" barreled 69) The hunt will be on for one of them.

A friend of mine purchased one and returned it to Smith within a week. This guy is a good shot and the gun grouped like patterning a shotgun. He got the gun back within a few days. Smith installed a new cylinder and did a couple of other things, I honestly don't know what the other "things" were. He hasn't had a chance to shoot the returned gun. This is the second new Smith he's had to return in the last year, he said it would be his last.
