Bought mine new... My Son had already put dibs on it, so I've cleaned it up, and long with 3 new mags, and a new DeSantis Thumb-snap holster stashed it away for him.

FWIW, he chose the 3913 over a Walther P99c/AS, Walther P99/AS, Sig P239 w/CT Lasergrips, and several others..

He said he just liked it best..

My 3913 has always been 100% reliable and very accurate. A pleasure to shoot, and I think you got a real deal..

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

I just dont know why but third generation Smith autos have next to NO resale value in most places.

Gun snobbery. It's not plastic fantastic. They're heavy (even AL framed) relatively speaking. No movie stars use them anymore. They've fallen out of favor with PDs largely b/c of the cost but also b/c of the weight. I don't mind it. In fact, I like it. This sort of ignorance drives the price down b/c the perception is that nobody wants them. Lightly used, they're the best sub-$400 guns out there. Of course, some models with limited production (1076, 1026, and 1086 are good examples) have enough people who desire them so as to make them scarce on the used market.
