Why a 686 (6 shot) over a 620? I like both. I want a 6 shot. Kind of torn over the full lug on the 686 or the half lug of the 620. Either way it'd be a 4".
Any thoughts as to one over the other?
These are both "L" frames correct?

Both are L Frames. Since they are both L Frames, they should feel pretty similar, except the 686 will be a bit more barrel heavy. A matter of preference.

The 620s are only offered in 7 shot versions, so that knocks it out of contention if you are looking for a six shooter.

Ala Dan,

The 620 does have adjustable sights (at least it did in the following gunblast review). The 619 is the same gun with fixed sights.

In addition to the balance issue of full vs. half-lug, the 620 has the new two-piece barrel and the 686 has the classic one-piece. Both will eat magnums all day long and ask for more.
