Hi guys , sorry to bother . I am trying to help out my brother. He has a S&W model 637 in silver/aluminum finish . He wants to sell it but doesnt know where to start and neither do I . I have a 442 but I am keeping mine.
What do you guys think should be his ROCK BOTTOM PRICE ? And what should be his starting price ? It is like new with the box and all papers and it has 150 rds through it .
I went to Gunbroker.com and their prices really fluctuate .
Any help is appreciated.

Friend of mine bought one recently at a gun shop for $250. It's in pretty good shape but probably not quite as nice as your brother's. I thought that was a really good deal and would have jumped on it if I saw it first. Up to your brothr if he needs the money bad enough to go that low but I would think it's worth more than that. I certainly wouldn't go any lower than that. I'd think somewhere in the $300-$350 range would be fair to both parties.

If I was buying again, I'd want to get it for $300. If I was selling I'd try and get $325.

Prices are regional. Could be one of the reasons that the prices are fluctuating on Gunbroker. Around here, new you can get one for $350 at the local gunshops. Best way to tell for sure in your area is to call a few local shops and see how much they are selling theirs for or check a few online adds in your area.

Selling to a shop, expect less. Sell it privately, expect more. Around here I would expect about 175-220 at the shops and maybe 300 privately. Florida that is.
