I own an old Savage 110 in 270 win, How can i know how old is it?
I´m thinking get a 100 ATR Mossberg in 270 win, Are there other calibers than 270 and 30-06 in this rifle?
Is my old savage a better rifle than the 100 ATR Mossberg?
Help please

I would say the Savage is the superior rifle. But, there are far more knowledgeable people on this board than me. But, I would just stick with the Savage 110... great rifles...

Also, to find out how old your rifle is, you might try calling Savage at Phone: (413) 568-7001, with serial number in hand, and asking them when that rifle was produced.

HTH...

Mossberg only offers the ATR-100 in .270 & .30-06.

Contact Savage with the exact model & serial number, they can tell you how old it is.

With the 'Accu-Trigger' now as standard on MOST new Savage rifles, it is probably a bit better than the Mossberg trigger.

I have an ATR-100 in .30-06; it is more accurate than me. I have managed 2.5" @100 yds with Winchester White Box & PMC brand 147-150Gr FMJ ammo, buddy got better than 1" with some Federal Gold Medal Match in this rifle.

Go to SavageShooters.net forum and post your request there to find out how old your Savage is.

The Mossberg ATR is a fine rifle. It is a slightly modified version of the old RAPTOR rifle that came out in the early 1990's.

The ATR would probably be more in line with the Stevens Model 200, price and feature-wise. The Stevens, however, comes in both short and long actions in several calibers.
