Savage Precision Actions - anyone ever built one up?

I just bought a Savage varmint action with a .473" bolt face (.308 family) and detachable box magazine. I am on the waiting list for Fred at Sharp Shooter Supply to time and true the action, and I also ordered an LVT stock, new recoil lug, bolt handle, and some other parts from him. He's also going to bed the action to the stock. Planning on putting a .260 Rem Lothar Walther pre-fit barrel on it.

I went with Savage mostly because it seems very easy to install and change out barrels, which means I can have a rifle built to my liking fairly quickly without spending $2-3k like if I went with a Remington 700 action. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
