Well, it finally happened...I got SMACKED in the forehead with the scope on my M1 Carbine... I need a new set of rings or a scope mounting set up that will lower my scope, and allow it to be moved forward from where it is now mounted. The mount that's attached to the Carbine is the type which is fastened to the dovetail for the rear sight...that's fine. The scope itSELF is mounted to it with some kind of BS cantilevered, tactical looking thing...made in China by Chinese Craftsmen... If I squinch my eyes, twist my neck, and stick my head high up on the stock, the gun will drive tacks. Any suggestions?...

Brownells has a couple M1 carbine mounts.S&K might be your best bet,as the others are set up for long eye relief (pistol) scopes. I think B-Square used to make a set,but not sure if they still do. Google, maybe?
