I'm a big fan of Colt's wheel guns. I have wanted a Python for many years, but I've been unwilling to pay the inflated prices that Pythons command.

A few years ago I decided to compromise and get a Diamondback...Python looks without the Python price. I'm glad I got it. It has become one of my favorite plinking guns.

This video shows my little DB in action.

The Diamondback is one of the nicest revolvers Colt ever put out, and many of them rival the Python in fit and finish. It is a sad situation that the name is now being used by another company on a very much inferior product.

I always wanted a Diamondback in .22LR as a stablemate for a vintage S&W K-22. I think both guns are the benchmark of classic double action rimfire revolvers,

Nice job on the video. I should mention that they stopped production in 1986 (vs 1988).

Added: A few hundred were assembled from parts circa 1991. They came in the blue plastic boxes.

Colt Diamondbacks are my favorite revolvers.

If I could afford it, I would buy a Pristine Python, in Royal Blue.
I cannot afford it. So, I do not have one.
Diamondbacks are sweet shooters.

Sweet! Mike, we have similar tastes.

Time to watch Steve McQueen in "Bullitt" and John Wayne in "Brannigan" exercise their Diamondbacks...

Great video, I've always wanted a Diamondback 22, but my pythons eat up most of my play money.
