My wife and I both shoot SA 9mm 1911s in steel challenge. My wife's support (left) hand sustained some damage 10 years ago so she uses a golf glove on that hand to help with racking the slide. While the glove works fine racking the slide on our SS handguns and probably works well gripping a leather gold club grip, the glove doesn't give much traction on her 1911 grip.
I realize there are many grips out there to try; her current grip is a not-very-aggressive VZ style, but I'd also like to see her trip a thin glove with some areas of rubber bumps or similar as one might find in a mechanics glove. Has anyone out there found something similar? If so, brand?
She has good-size hands so I don't think finding a fit in almost any glove would be a problem. BTW, we're running pretty meek reloads, but there is some recoil there and you don't get any stronger as you get older.
Thanks,
Rick
