For the Tarus .9 once fired officer Winchester Brass (Officers have their own area at our range and never pick up brass); small CCI primers; 125 grn LRN; 4.1 grains of Unique powder. Out of 100 rounds I had 2 that didn't fire. Not even a mark on the primer. I am used to shooting factory 115 grain JRN and it was the one I tried first, so I know I was flinching terribly. (I think I was even ducking for the first 10) After the first 40 rounds, accuracy got better as I gained confidence in my loads. Ejected brass looked good.

For the SA XD .40 - Once fired officer Winchester brass; Small CCI primers; 155 grn LSWC; loaded 20 each 4.8,4.9,5.0,5.1,5.2 grains of Unique powder. Out of 100 rounds I had one bad primer. The only thing I noticed was that when I was shooting the loads under 5.0 grains, the gun was starting to "struggle" a bit ejecting. The ejected brass looked good. No buldges, splits, or cracks. But I didn't expect any as these were light loads. It was soooooooooo much better than any factory load and surprizingly accurate. (I'm still learning to shoot this one)

All in all it was almost as awesome as the second time I fired a handgun. (trying hard to forget the first time - long story for another time)

Dang it - I'm so excited!!!!!
