Sig 232 Style in 9mm?

Anyone ever make a Sig 232 (230) style gun in 9mm? It seems like it's pretty close enough to be chambered in that caliber.

There were some new commercial 9mm Parabellum makarovs that used a grooved chamber for delayed blowback, other than that there's a few 9x18mm Ultra P230s. It's a great concept if you can make it work, I'm sure it would sell too.

if the rohrbagh can be 9mm, i dont see any reason that the 232 couldnt be redesigned around the 9mm.

it has been one of my "wish list" guns for a LONG time...i would snap one up in a second.

Oh, and sig, while you are redesigning the 232 around the 9mm, could you PLEASE give it a nice external slide release, and a NORMAL mag catch!!?

Rohrbaugh Firearms did one better -- they made a 9mm the size of an NAA Guardian (well, almost). Here is my R9 next to my Guardian ...

P232 is blowback, Rohrbaugh is recoil operated. That makes the difference, not the size. It is hard to make a blowback 9mm P work. I don't know if it is possible to make a small, light 9mm P blowback work.

well it's not just a problem of making 9x19mm work it's also the problem of all the +P and +P+ rounds out there. Beretta used to make a lot of blowback guns for 9mm Glisenti which is the same as Para except for lower pressures (still much powerful than .380 though). I don't know if you can have the distinctive profile and size of the PPK style gun with a recoil operated pistol, i haven't seen one.

I have a Sig P230 chambered in 9x18 Ultra(Police). What do you want to know? BTW, even when mass-produced 9x18Us first came out in the 70s, they were as popular as eight-track tapes today or root canals.
