Sometimes a shooter may not be confident about his engrained methods when relearning an old craft. Some of you may have differing opinions hopefully based on experience. I know what I have been doing, but I am not sure it is the best method. Today I saw it performed different from what I was taught years ago.

Therefore I have a question...

When shooting your doubles in skeet at the appropriate stations, which one do you shoot first between high house and low house? Please make your answers descriptive with reasons why on each station.

Thanks for your responses.

There are rules - station 1 and 2 require you to shoot the high house first, followed by the low house. Stations 6 and 7 you shoot the low houses first. Basically, you shoot the out going bird first

That means I am NOT crazy or at least about this. The guy I saw shooting it different was just wrong!

There are many times that an experienced shooter on an informal round of skeet will shoot the birds opposite to mix it up a bit, get a different perspective on the targets. In a competitive round under rules, both birds would be considered lost targets, even if they were both hit.
