My 3914 was my back up gun while on duty.

I later used it and this KyTac (www.kytac.com) holster to win a State IDPA title in Stock Service, beating all the full size Glocks, etc. Might've had the HOA, too.

Good, solid, reliable gun. I like it.

I have to agree with the rest of the posters: the 3913 (and it's variants) are perhaps the finest example of metal frame CCW 9 mm's. I carry my 3913 almost everyday (many times leaving the heavier G23 at home in the safe). The only downside, for me anyway, is the DA first shot. After experimenting a bit I installed a reduced power spring from Wolff and it helped considerably. As far as the grip, the Hogue really has worked out well the last 8-9 years. I was actually thinking about retiring the 3913, ordering some custom made wood grips and justing using it for range practice....thankfully I saw this thread and came to my senses!

I have this quandry every morning before leaving the house, which gun do I carry today?

My favorite is a 3919 with night sights, or a 908, or a 6906, or my 3913 with black sights and a spurred hammer.

This exercise sometimes consumes so much time that I am thinking of buying four more 39XXs and labeling each one by day of the week.

Then I can avoid the daily dithering over which gun to carry. On the other hand, retirees need problems to solve on a daily basis. Keeps the sind mharper.
