About 3 months ago I bought a new Walther PDP SD Pro from the gun club I belong too.
I got it home and on shooting it the first time I noticed the trigger wasn't at the advertised 3.8 lbs more like 4.8lb on my Shimpo Strain gauge, so I sent it back to them for that and a jamming problem.

That's water under the bridge now. I don't hold grudges but I will never trust them again either.
So in the above thread I referenced one of our members graciously gave me the Springco Competition Trigger spring kit part number so I ordered it right on Black Friday.

I opened it last night at 6:00pm and the recoil management system and extra recoil springs I ordered were in the bag but the competition trigger kit wasn't there. It was on the invoice and I was charged for it.

I was still feeling down about the Walther, and now this happened. It's like this gun and everything about it is jinxed. The jamming part is gone, I stripped it with Hoppe's gun scrubber when it came back from Walther and hosed it down with Rem Oil. Greased the slide with Lubri-plate and so on.

So anyways,
I emailed Springco last night (Saturday) at about 6pm and they answered my email at 8:10 pm in the evening, on a Saturday. :what: They said I was definitely invoiced for it and the shipper missed putting it in the shipping bag. They are sending it out Monday morning, first thing.

Wow! What great customer service! I feel like this PDP might turn out ok after all now. I also bought the recoil management system from them and will try it out today. It's a specialized recoil spring system that replaces the factory slide spring. I got the red spring for hotter loads and the yellow one for lighter loads and can't wait to try it out. I'll head for the range today and try the red spring first with some of my heavier loads.

I'm excited to shoot this thing again. Hopefully, good time ahead.

Springco, Grade AAA company to deal with.

Nice to see people take the time to post about positive experiences instead of the normal angry venting/bashing post.

Reading your other post, I feel like Walther dropped the ball. At best, they should have offered a voucher or gift certificate. I'd be upset too. In any event, I'm glad that everything worked itself out, and Sprinco had better customer service than Walther.

I only use Sprinco buffer springs in my AR assemblies. They're good to go.

I agree, we need to know who's good as well as who is bad.

I tried the recoil management system in my PDP and it does soften the recoil some. I started out shooting my self defense loads, then went to my 4.1 gr titegroup loads which is a little less than the first loads, then went to my light target loads. The red spring handled them all. It softens the sharpness of the recoil.

The Red spring even worked with my light loads, 3.8 gr of titegroup with 124gr plated bullets. The only problem was one time the slide didn't lock back on empty, with the Red spring and the light loads. Only once. I can adjust my load a little to stop that.
The nice thing is this system also fits my Q5 SF Pro so I can try it in that gun also without buying a second one.

Once I get the trigger springs in the PDP and get the trigger release weight down to where I want it, I'll give it a good work out. Then I'll will move the system to the Q5.
It's really just a slide spring assy but I'm curious as hell.
I'm going to get a compensator for the PDP also, more for weight on the front end then anything.

I have one of their buffers in my FEG Hi Power. With an all metal frame and that buffer, it's a powder puff to shoot. I should get one for my RIA 1911 Compact. They're kind of neat. Looks like a little motorcycle shock absorber.

I'm taking it to the range today to check it out. On my Shimpo Strain gauge, it is reading right at 3 1/2 lbs. That's where I wanted it. Wasn't hard to put the springs in either. It was fiddly but I got them in with a couple machinists picks and they didn't go flying across the room, got them right in.

I think I'm going to like it. I'll call my grandson to see if he want's to go again. He is falling in love with the PDP, and I'm warming up to it also.

I will take special care with him if he wants to shoot it. Usually he's shooting the SP101 .327FM with my highly reduced loads. Both Grandkids like it.
